01 / Identify the source
Write down the full make and model of your fishfinder or chartplotter. A brand name alone is not enough: video outputs, resolutions, and touch capabilities can vary between models.
02 / Check video and touch separately
A working video connection does not automatically mean touchscreen control will work. Confirm the supported video output, output resolution, and any separate USB or control connection for your exact equipment.
03 / Plan the mounting position
Measure the usable space, check the viewing position, and allow room for the bracket and cable connections. The screen’s diagonal measurement is not the overall enclosure size.
